A .ex5 file is the compiled bytecode artefact produced by the MQL5 compiler — the form in which Expert Advisors, indicators, and scripts are actually distributed and loaded by MetaTrader 5. The source .mq5 file is human-readable; the .ex5 is binary and proprietary.
