Editorial methodology
Every product in this ranking passes four editorial gates. The methodology is the same across all FxRobotEasy /best lists so rankings are comparable across categories.
Plain-language description of what triggers a signal and what each visual element represents. Indicators with vendor-locked source code and no logic explanation are excluded.
Vendor states whether the indicator repaints on the active candle. Repainting indicators that hide that fact in marketing fail this gate. Honest repainters labelled correctly are ranked on signal quality.
Documented behaviour across timeframes (M5, H1, H4). Indicators tuned only for one timeframe with no MTF guidance are excluded from MT5 rankings.
Vendor publishes false-positive rate or signal-success rate on a published instrument list. Indicators without any quantitative claim fail this gate.
Each product page shows its individual review date and notes from the reviewer.
Read full methodologySupport and resistance levels are among the oldest technical analysis concepts — historical price levels where price has previously reacted (bounced or rejected) tend to act as future support or resistance. The methodology has strong discretionary trader support because S/R levels are visible and intuitive. Automating S/R detection reduces manual chart scanning effort but requires algorithmic logic for identifying which levels are significant. This ranking covers MT5 S/R indicators.
For general MT5 indicators see /best/mt5-indicators. For supply/demand zones (related concept) see /best/supply-demand-indicators. For pivot points see /best/forex-indicators. Last reviewed by William Harris on 28 May 2026; full methodology at /about/methodology.
**What makes a useful S/R indicator**
Four characteristics. First, swing detection: indicators identify swing highs and lows that form S/R levels. Second, level filtering: significant levels emerge from market structure across multiple timeframes; algorithmic filtering distinguishes signals from noise. Third, level age weighting: older levels often have stronger validity than recent levels because more market participants observed them. Fourth, visual presentation: levels should be visually clear without cluttering the chart with stale historical levels.
**The 2026 S/R indicator shortlist**
*Free baseline S/R tools.* **Supply Demand levels** by Jan Flodin ($0) provides free baseline S/R level detection. **STRAT Price Action Scanner** by Daniel Frank ($0) implements S/R within STRAT methodology.
*Multi-symbol S/R dashboards.* **Basic Supply Demand Dashboard MT5** by Mehran Sepah Mansoor ($99) scans S/R across multiple symbols.
*S/R with multi-timeframe support.* **MTF Supply Demand Zones MT5** by Georgios Kalomoiropoulos ($149) provides multi-timeframe S/R level identification.
*Order block S/R combination.* **Order Block Indicator MT5** by Diego Arribas Lopez ($94) combines order block analysis (institutional S/R) with traditional level identification.
*Confluence and combination tools.* **All in One Screen** by Burak Baltaci ($0) combines S/R with other indicators. **Consolidation Zone MT5** by Suvashish Halder ($0) identifies consolidation areas that often become future S/R.
*Premium pattern integration.* **Fractal Pattern Scanner MT5** by Young Ho Seo ($180) integrates fractal-based S/R within pattern recognition.
**Practical S/R usage**
Five rules. (1) Higher-timeframe S/R matters more — D1 and W1 levels have stronger validity than M5-M15 levels. (2) Multi-touch levels are stronger — S/R levels tested 3+ times before are more reliable than single-touch levels. (3) Confluence with moving averages or Fibonacci levels strengthens S/R significance. (4) S/R levels eventually break — use them as zones of expected price reaction, not as absolute walls. (5) Combine with volume context — volume at S/R levels indicates institutional interest.

“I've been building things with code since middle school. I've been trading since university. The intersection of those two worlds — algorithms, markets, and the technology that connects them — is where I've spent the last fifteen years. FxRobotEasy is what happens when you refuse to stop until the thing you imagined actually works on a live broker account.”
Editorial standards
Last reviewed by William Harris on .
Every product passes four editorial gates — disclosed strategy logic, verified developer profile, documented risk discipline, and active maintenance pipeline — before it appears in any ranking. Products from inactive developers (no community activity in 90+ days) or with closed-source 'AI black box' strategies are excluded regardless of their published returns. Full methodology lives at /about/methodology.
Rankings are reviewed at least quarterly with interim updates when featured products ship new versions, when developer activity status changes, or when market regime shifts test strategy fitness. Each entry shows its individual last-reviewed date. The cron job at /api/cron/seo-auto-refresh flags rankings older than 90 days for re-review.
We do not accept payment for placement in rankings — featured order is editorial. We do not guarantee profit projections for any robot, indicator, or tool reviewed. We do not endorse trading by anyone who hasn't first completed a demo evaluation matching the deployment pattern they intend to follow on live capital.
